Casalinga is an elegant Italian country restaurant in Muldersdrift which serves perfect on summer days with its slide away doors opening on to a terrace, or its snug wood fires in the winter months. Their delicious food has helped establish them as one of Gauteng's leading restaurants. Casalinga is the inspiration of Peter and Jenny De Luca. In 1989, they extended their Muldersdrift home to create a magical, traditional Italian restaurant with a time-honoured country feel. This is CASALINGA.
They try and make it as intimate as possible; a true extension of their home. The Casalinga team strive to provide the finest Italian, contemporary cuisine from fresh, natural ingredients, free of preservatives and artificial substances. Their vegetables and herbs are organically grown on their beautiful farm.
The menu is world class, featuring a variety of mouth-watering dishes, to suit everyone's palate. This accompanied by a wine list that features a well-priced selection of international wines from Veneto, New Zealand and Tuscany, amongst others. The list also offers vintage Champagnes, a great section of 'blush' wines and even a list of Scottish whiskeys.
Also on the property they pride The Chocolate Tier which specialises in chocolate. Select one of their famous chocolate fountains, indulge in a delectable dessert table for your special event, but join them for a chocolate experience. In addition to this they have the Green Bean African Coffee Roastery, a 'boutique' in-restaurant coffee roasting facility.
