Description
Pilanesberg National Park, located inside an extinct volcanic crater, is a wildlife sanctuary home to over 7,000 animals and rich flora. This safari begins with an early morning hotel pickup in Johannesburg at 6:00 am, arriving at Pilanesberg by 9:00 am.
A field guide will meet you at the Visitors Centre for a park briefing before commencing your first 3-hour guided game drive in an open 4×4 vehicle, where you will observe abundant wildlife and learn about animal behavior and the ecosystem.
After the game drive, you will be transferred to KwaMaritane Bush Lodge for lunch and check-in at 2:00 pm. Relax before heading out at 4:00 pm for a late afternoon game drive. Return to the lodge at sunset for dinner around the firepit if weather permits.
Accommodation options range from standard and deluxe rooms to executive suites and private family rooms, providing comfort in the reserve.
The next morning begins early with hot beverages served before a 5:30 am 3-hour morning game drive. You will have further chances to spot lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos, buffalos, and other wildlife, including over 300 bird species.
Following a hearty breakfast, pack up for collection at 11:00 am for the return drive to Johannesburg, arriving at your hotel or the airport around 1:30 pm.
