Travelling North from Mopani Camp along the H1-6 to, the Tropic of Capricorn marker point at exactly 26 degrees 26' 18" signifies your entrance into the tropics. A line of bricks across the road, plots the line of the tropical parallel, at least until the bushes on the other side.
It is worthwhile getting out of your car (at your own risk) and taking a look at the plaque on the boulders next to the road. This gives you the information that you need to know about the Tropic of Capricorn. See our photos on the next tab for a close up view of the plaque.
