Description
Depart from your Johannesburg hotel with convenient pickup and head to the Cradle of Humankind region where Bothongo Rhino and Lion Nature Reserve is situated. Upon arrival, start your experience at the Wonder Cave, a 2.2 billion-year-old limestone cave and South Africa’s third-largest cave chamber.
You will descend 87 stairs before taking an elevator 18 meters underground to explore fascinating stalactite and stalagmite formations, some reaching up to 15 meters in height. After the cave tour, visit the Wildlife Centre to begin your safari adventure.
Meet rescued and rehabilitated animals that act as species ambassadors, including four of the Big Five, African wild dogs, cheetahs, tigers, zebras, roan and sable antelopes, among others. Learn about the conservation initiatives currently underway at the reserve.
After the safari, select from three restaurants for lunch: the family-friendly Thatch Café, the Boma Restaurant with deck views over the park, or the Neck and Deck Restaurant offering Afro-Fusion cuisine. Following lunch, return to your vehicle for the transfer back to your hotel.
