Gas and cookers are available at all picnic spots, but you must bring all your utensils and food with you. There is no shop here, although cool drinks are available
Mooiplaas is a pretty Picnic Spot being located in the bush occurring alongside the nearby Tsendze River.
Facilities
This Picnic Spot is just intended for picnics, and so only cold drinks can be purchased here. Gas cylinders are for hire and picnic tables are placed in the shade of trees and under a large thatched boma.
Features
There is a small thatched boma about 200 metres away from the main picnic spot - on the other side of the car park. This view spot is on top of a 6 metre drop down to the Tsendze River bed and a small water hole. Here you can sit at a table and have a meal whilst observing the activities below you.
Mooiplaas Location
Mooiplaas Picnic Spot is only 7km/20 min from Mopani Camp, and is right next door to Tsendze Tented Camp. It is 41kn/1hr 45 min from Letaba Camp, making it an ideal stopping place for breakfast of lunch, depending on your specific route taken.
