After your pick up from the hotel,we drive through the affluent parts of the city, the Houghton Estate. Here you will see the Nelson Mandela Foundation and the 2 houses he lived in. From here we will make our first stop at the Constitutional hill. This was once a jail divided into 2. The other part for white people and the other part for the black people. The jail was once regarded as a notorious jail. Today this is the home to the Constitutional court of the country. Our next stop will be the Apartheid museum. This is one of the best informative museums in the country. The museum reveals the detailed history about apartheid in pictures,vidios and more information to read. Visit to the museum takes about 2 hours. From here our next stop will be in the Soweto township. Townships are those areas allocated to the black people during the times of segregation. In Soweto we will see the following sites: The rich part. The poor part. The biggest hospital in the Southern Hermisphere. The Orlando Towers. Vilakazi Street.
