Family Fun Beach

Family Fun Beach is a family recreation venue in Harmoniesrus, Vereeniging, offering a sandy, holiday-style setting near Johannesburg. The venue combines water activities, outdoor play and casual social spaces, making it suited to family outings, group gatherings, school fundays, birthday parties and year-end functions.

Water activities form the centre of the experience. A swimming pool is fitted with nine slides, including a larger double slide for adults and children, while smaller slides cater to younger visitors and teenagers. A separate splash pad provides gentler water play, with spray features, a mushroom water element and a small slide. Children remain the responsibility of supervising adults, although lifeguards are on duty and a medical room is available.

Beyond the pool area, the venue has a jungle gym, a bicycle area, volleyball spaces and organised games and competitions. Music is kept at a background level, reflecting the venue's residential setting. The atmosphere is active and social, with children able to move between water play, sport and playground activities during a family day out.

Family Fun Beach also accommodates relaxed outdoor meals. Visitors may bring food and drinks, while designated braai stands are available for communal cooking and picnics. Glass containers and personal speakers are not permitted. A tuckshop is available for refreshments and other items, but it does not serve food. Braai facilities are intended for use during the permitted daytime period.

The venue operates as a pre-booked destination rather than a walk-in attraction. Public visits are offered on weekends and public holidays, while weekdays are reserved for booked school fundays, private functions and special events. Advance planning is important because daily visitor numbers are limited. Family Fun Beach is located at 19 Van Der Walt Road, Harmoniesrus, Vereeniging, making it a practical option for groups seeking water play, outdoor games and a casual braai setting in the Vaal area.
