The enormous Hyundai Montecasino Balloon can be seen from miles away as it floats above the Montecasino Entertainment Centre. On a clear day the 'Eye' can see from the City of Johannesburg in the South, to the Magaliesberg Mountains in the North. It goes without saying that a camera is a must for this special experience.
The Balloon looks as though it could float away into the heavens, but it is permanently tethered by a steel cable which has a breaking point ten times greater than the force exerted by the balloon. It is filled with helium and therefore cannot catch fire or explode.
