Hemingway's Restaurant and Wine Cellar is located next to Leriba Hotel and Spa, the award winning 4 and 5 Star Hotel in Centurion, and nestled on 12 hectares of indigenous forest on the banks of the Hennops River. It's strategically located and easy accessible from Pretoria and Johannesburg. Two years ago Leriba Hotel and Spa was awarded Best Luxury Hotel in SA at the AA Travel Awards.
The restaurant is tastefully decorated with understated minimalistic elegance. The ambience reminds one of a classic French cafe with splashes of contemporary Provencal style. It seats 150 guests and boasts a News Room and two private dining rooms to accommodate the discerning guest that needs elegance and privacy. The indigenous gardens create a perfect backdrop for the sun soaked terrace, where you can enjoy a sumptuous meal or an afternoon sun-downer.
The old world appeal offers an alluring and relaxing atmosphere to enjoy the mouth-watering flavours of the award winning chef, Jan De Wet Botha. The menu revolves around the seasons and is fresh, tasteful and honest. The style is deceptively simple and offers a variety of exciting flavours to awaken your senses. The chef is constantly on the look-out for exceptional ingredients, all of which are essential to his signature honest style of cooking characterised by intense flavours and classic combinations on the plate. One of the chef's favourite dishes includes seafood ravioli served with a kataifi wrapped prawn spring roll and lemon grass veloute.
The carefully selected wine collection represent the gems of South African wines and offers a wide range of tastes and flavours to compliment the sumptuous culinary journey with excellent paring suggestions. Wines are selected from winemakers who show passion for quality and craftsmanship, and include all of the wine regions in South Africa
At Hemingway's they are constantly pushing the culinary boundaries and if you are passionate about food, you will certainly revel in this experience.
