Day 1 – Johannesburg and Soweto Itinerary • Pick up at residence. • Visit the Constitution Hill. • Visit Apartheid Museum. • Lunch • Soweto one of the biggest townships in South Africa. • Drive through the FNB Stadium • We then view the Soweto Towers which is now the landmark of Soweto. • Vilakazi Street; visit the Mandela House. • Visit the Hector Pietersen Memorial; where you will get an overview of the events of the 1976 Soweto Student Uprising. • Tour ends drop off at residence. Day 2 – Drive through Pretoria with Lion & Safari Park Itinerary • Pick up at residence. • Visit the Freedom Park. • Visit the Union Building which is the official seat of the South African Government. • Lion & Safari Park, 2 hours guided game drive. • Lunch • Drop of at residence. Day 3 – Lesedi Cultural Village Experience the rich and colourful cultures of South Africa. Itinerary • Pick up at residence. • Guided cultural tour in the village. • Cultural dancing. • Boma buffet lunch (drinks at your own cost) • Tour ends drop off at residence. Day 4 – Pilanesberg National Park Safari Pilanesberg National Park is one of the most fascinating Big 5 game reserves and is also the most accessible being in a malaria free environment. Itinerary • Early morning pick up at residence. • Once we arrive at the park, you will join a guided group tour on a 2.5 hours morning game drive in an open safari vehicle. • We then stop for lunch at one of the rest camps. • Afternoon game reserve 2.5 hours. • Drop of at residence. Notes: • Bring sunglasses and hat • Sunscreen/ skin protector • Comfortable shoes • Avoid bright coloured clothing (white, red, pink, orange etc) • Wear weather appropriate and comfortable clothing, (bring a light jacket) • Lunch included (drinks at own cost) • Bring some extra cash Day 5 – Cradle of Humankind Museum and Walter Sisulu Botanical Garden Explore the Cradle of Human Kind tour, known as one of the 8 UNESCO World Heritage sites. Itinerary • Pick up at residence. • Maropeng Museum. • This self-guided, interactive tour allows you to take all the time you need to ponder humanity's fascinating origin story. • Walter Sisulu Botanical Garden’s (1 hour) • Lunch (drinks at own account) • Drop of at residence. Day 6 – Elephant Sanctuary Aerial Cableway Itinerary • Pick up at residence. • Visit the Elephant Sanctuary. • Aerial Cableway. • Lunch at own cost • Drop off at residence.
