Description
Day 1: Depart Johannesburg for a 5-6 hour drive to Greater Kruger National Park. Arrive at your accommodation in the late afternoon. There is an optional 3-hour sunset game drive in an open vehicle for R500 per person. After the drive, return to the lodge for overnight stay.
Driving distance: Approximately 5 hours
Meals: Lunch and dinner at own expense
Accommodation: Rissington Inn, Lions Rock Camp, or similar
Day 2: Start early for a full-day game drive in Greater Kruger National Park, aiming to see the Big Five and other wildlife. Kruger covers about 360 km north to south and 70 km east to west, bordering Mozambique. Return to the lodge by 15:00.
Driving distance: 120 km
Meals: Breakfast packs provided; lunch and dinner at own expense
Accommodation: Lions Rock Camp, Rissington Inn, or similar
Day 3: Early morning departure from Kruger via the Panorama Route at the foot of the Drakensberg Mountains in Mpumalanga. Visit attractions including God's Window and Blyde River Canyon before returning to Johannesburg or Pretoria for drop-off.
