The experience begins with a 3.5-hour drive from Johannesburg to your hotel located deep in the Drakensberg mountains at Witsieshoek. Early the next morning, a 6 AM shuttle transports you to the hiking start point below Sentinel Peak, navigating rugged 4x4 roads. The main hike lasts 5 to 7 hours, adjusted privately to your fitness level. You can select between two ascent routes: the gulley or the chain ladders. Reach the summit to view the expansive landscape and the top of the highest waterfall in the world.
