Over six days, travel from Johannesburg through Kruger National Park, Mozambique, Eswatini, Lesotho, and South Africa’s KwaZulu-Natal region. Experience wildlife encounters, coastal relaxation, cultural performances, and mountain scenery.
Day 1: Johannesburg – Kruger National Park & Maputo, Mozambique
Begin with a morning pickup from your Johannesburg hotel, then head to southern Kruger National Park for morning and afternoon game drives. Spot lions, elephants, rhinos, buffalo, and leopards. Cross into Mozambique and check in at StayEasy Maputo.
Day 2: Praia do Bilene & Maputo City Tour
After breakfast, visit Praia do Bilene to swim and relax by the lagoon and beaches. Return to Maputo for a city tour including Maputo Central Market, Fortaleza de Maputo, the railway station, FEIMA Arts & Craft Market, and Maputo Cathedral. Overnight at StayEasy Maputo.
Day 3: Eswatini Cultural Experience
Travel early to Eswatini and drive through Hlane Royal National Park observing lions, rhinos, elephants, and birds. Visit Matenga Cultural Village for a traditional Swazi dance and local insights. Explore Matenga Waterfall and Mbabane, including a visit to the Swazi Candles Factory. Overnight at Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary.
Day 4: St Lucia Estuary Boat Cruise
Depart Milwane Game Park for St Lucia. Take a scenic boat cruise on the St Lucia Estuary to see hippos, crocodiles, and diverse bird species. Continue to Pietermaritzburg and overnight at Road Lodge Pietermaritzburg.
Day 5: Lesotho via Sani Pass & Lunch at the Highest Pub
Travel to Underberg for breakfast, then embark on a guided 4x4 trip up the Sani Pass to Lesotho. Experience Basotho culture through a village visit. Have lunch at the Highest Pub in Southern Africa at the top of the pass with panoramic mountain views. Return to Underberg and stay at a local B&B.
Day 6: Waterfalls, Mandela Capture Site & Durban City Tour
Visit Howick Falls and the Nelson Mandela Capture Site after breakfast. Continue to Durban for a city tour including the Golden Mile, Victoria Street Market, and Durban Botanical Gardens. Tour ends with drop-off at Durban Airport or your hotel.
