Description

Begin your tour with a comfortable pickup from your hotel or residence in Johannesburg, Sandton, Rosebank, or surrounding areas in a private air-conditioned vehicle. Enter Soweto through the historic neighborhood of Diepkloof, pausing for photos at the iconic 'Soweto' Welcome Plate Sign. As you travel deeper into the township, drive past Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital—one of the largest hospital facilities in the world—and absorb the dynamic energy of everyday local life. The core highlight of your trip is an immersive guided walking tour through Kliptown, led by local guides from the Kliptown Youth Program (KYP). Walk through historic Walter Sisulu Square, the landmark site where the Freedom Charter was adopted in 1955, and gain deep insight into grassroots community initiatives and local youth development efforts. To conclude your morning, enjoy a relaxing stop at Chaf Pozi at the foot of Orlando Towers or along lively Vilakazi Street, where you can take in the atmosphere and purchase lunch or refreshments (meals for own account). Afterward, sit back and relax on a smooth return transfer to your original pickup location.
