Tsendze Rustic Tented Camp
Johannesburg
Tsendze, the Tsonga word ‘to ramble around like someone lost in the bush’ is one of the newest camps in the park, and it has proven extremely popular for its unique offering. Just 7km south of Mopani rest camp, Tsendze is a rustic camp that places a significant emphasis on the natural surroundings through careful camp layout and limited management of vegetation within its boundaries. Camp sites rest under grand Leadwood, Apple Leaf and Mopane trees, and together with the two seasonal water courses of the Tsendze River and Nshawu Creek, serve to attract a variety of interesting bird and animal life.
Tsendze is carefully geared towards guests looking for a truly authentic, no-frills camping experience free from electricity and generators, and thus offers unparalleled serenity in this special part
of the reserve. In order to see the campsites and general views of Tsendze, please click on the Multimedia Tab above, on which you will find our Virtual Tour of Tsendze.
