Balule Satellite Camp
Johannesburg
Balule is a very small, basic, yet charming camp, which lies almost in the centre of the Park, just south of Olifants Camp, alongside the mighty Olifants River. The charm and character of Balule comes from the Parks Board's wisdom in retaining it in its original form: there's no electricity, only the most basic of facilities, the huts have no windows, and only a low fence surrounds the Camp and adjoining camping/caravan area.
The presence of the nearby Olifants River and its lush vegetation, adds a natural feel to Balule, making it a true enthusiasts Camp. Book early - otherwise you may not get in!
Reception and booking-in facilities are completed either at Olifants Camp, only a few km away, or at Satara - 46km South of Balule.
